--------------------------------------------------------------

RUBY (Level one)

Ruby is our first level class, where we introduce the core isolations and work on basic foundational moves for bellydance, with an emphasis on proper posture and strong muscular isolation. Isolations will be explored through beginner American Tribal Style (ATS) moves as well as choreography. This course includes an overview of fusion bellydance histories, 20th century and beyond. We recommend that people take Ruby at least twice before moving up to Tangerine.

--------------------------------------------------------------

TANGERINE (Level two)

You are ready for Tangerine if you understand the basic isolations conceptually and can use the correct muscle groups in your body to execute the move. If you have any questions about your readiness for Tangerine please talk to us! This course introduces the use of finger cymbals. In Tangerine we drill the isolations at a faster pace, adding more complex ATS moves and choreography, and adding arms layering.

--------------------------------------------------------------

SAFFRON (Level three - invite only)

The Saffron class introduces the use of core isolations layering, which means each muscular isolation should be understood well enough to do it with ease. You are ready for Saffron if you have completed Tangerine at least once and are comfortable with the key concepts and patterns introduced in that course.  We will work on integrating zill (finger cymbal) work with ATS moves, as well as working on more complex zill patterns.  Each class includes a fusion choreography component.  If you have any questions about your readiness for Saffron please talk to us!
